hurry up and wait

Yesterday afternoon, while waiting in a checkout line here:

my cell phone rang. Hubby needed me to take him here:

Three and a half hours later, we left the emergency room with the diagnosis of a kidney stone and a prescription for a pain killer that needed to be filled asap. I took Hubby home so that he could rest while I dealt with the wait here:

Over an hour later, I headed home with drugs, paper plates, and plastic cups and utensils (there was no way I was doing dishes).

And as I walked in the door, I realized that we had nothing to eat in the house. So I headed out again to wait in line here:


So was my Saturday.
