Last week's beef stew recipe was a definite hit - the two of us devoured the entire crock in one meal. I gave the cheeseburger macaroni recipe a second chance last week because I thought it would be better with tomato sauce instead of tomato soup (the first time I followed the recipe exactly and it smelled like vomit). It was definitely better this time, but I still don't think that recipe is a keeper for our house.

Yesterday I fixed a crock pot beef stew (which was absolutely fabulous, by the way). So when we got home from work last night, the whole apartment smelled delicious. I made the comment that I wished I knew how (and had all the necessary ingredients) to make cornbread to go with the stew. Hubby said "I think you just mash corn into bread"(I assure you he was kidding around - he's not a moron).
My response?
"This is why I do the cooking, dear."

The family has been practically begging for pics of the new apartment, so I thought I'd do them one better and give them a video tour. And since the video was too big to send in an email, the blog gets a little lovin' too.
Expect part 2 sometime after I get the bedroom and bathroom straightened up a bit (read: sometime between now and next Friday).
