13 Random Thoughts

1. I'm having a very hard time thinking of anything other than the much needed vacation we are about to take. I'm having to fight my brain to keep from making this a "13 things to do to get ready for our vacation" list.

2. I'm looking forward to the American Idol results show tonight - since they are combining the vote totals from last week with this week's votes and eliminating 2 contestants tonight, I honestly can't call this one. If I had to guess based solely on last night's performances, I'd say Chris Richardson and Jordin Sparks are in trouble. but Jordin was so good last week that I just don't know.

3. Have I mentioned the vacation Hubby and I are taking? We've been married almost 7 years and we're FINALLY taking our honeymoon! This will be the first time we've ever gone off by ourselves for no reason other than to get away.

4. My abs are incredibly sore today. Between last night's karate class and the stupid Healthy Blogger Pledge I made on my karate blog, it's been a bit difficult to get around today.

5. Guess what - only 2 more days before I'm off to Destin for a week of beach bumming!

6. I have bruises on my forearms from stupid mistakes I made sparring Hubby last week. They look horrible, but they don't hurt anymore.

7. I'm fixing frozen pizzas for supper every night this week so we don't have a ton of dishes to take care of before we leave for our vacation - we're never going to want pizza again.

8. Only 2 weeks left in this school year, which means I'll be losing some of the best kids in my class. Funny how the best behaved kids in my class are the offspring of teachers. But then, so are some of my most frustrating ones.

9. I went over to a friend's house to get my swimsuit and borrow some of hers to take to the beach with me and I forgot to get our beach towels while I was at it. Doh.

10. I haven't played World of Warcraft in nearly a month. Just haven't had the drive to log in. That makes me a little sad.

11. I don't know if you were aware of this or not, but Hubby and I are about to take a vacation and I am very excited about that.

12. This is verging on miraculous - there is a pint of ice cream in the freezer that has yet to be touched...2 days after purchase. I know. Shocking. I've been waiting to eat it with Hubby because it's a flavor neither of us has tried before - Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream. Don't worry, I'm sure it will be devoured before long.

13. Scribbit's Write-Away Contest theme for May is vacations, so expect a nice long post when we get back to reality.
