GTKY Wednesday - FOOD!

The GTKY challenge at Create a Connection today is to share a recipe and tell why you chose it. Is there a memory attached? Is it a family recipe that's been passed down through the generations? Did you cook it at your first dinner party in your first apartment? Is it a recipe from a famous chef that you've mastered?

I posted this recipe in my menu plan earlier this week, but I fixed it last night and it was so delicious! And it really was as easy as I thought it would be. I'm just thrilled to have found something new to add to my repertoire!

Garlic Parmesan Chicken

6 Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breasts
1/2 - 3/4 C. Grated Parmesan Cheese
.7 Oz. Envelope Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
1/4 t. Pepper
1/2 t. Garlic Powder
1 Egg, Slightly Mixed

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine cheese, salad dressing mix, pepper, and garlic powder. Dip chicken in egg, then coat with cheese mix. Place in shallow baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes, or until juices run clear when you pierce one breast. Serves 6.

Great idea! I also use a pkg of ranch dressing powder in the breadcrumbs and that works nicely too.
