SMART Habits Saturday: Mount Washmore

As far as my other habits go, the more specific game plans are working pretty well. I've consistently kept my sink shiny this week. The exercise is still suffering, mostly because the computer on the stepper is broken and it is currently set far too high for me to spend more than 5 minutes on. The Bible study is going better, but still not consistent. I made the mistake of choosing "patience" as my first topic for study. Yeah, don't ever do that if you don't want to have a stressful and challenging week. God tends to teach patience through suffering, and for some reason I forgot that. So I dropped the topical study after work on Monday, and spent the rest of the week in the Psalms.

I'm thinking this week's new habit is going to be the laundry. I'm tired of spending all weekend long moving clothes from the floor to the washer to the dryer to the laundry basket, and on rare occassions, to the closets. No more. A load a day should keep the amount of clothes waiting to be put away down to a managable size.

I go back & forth on if I like doing laundry each day or putting it all into two weekdays. I guess it depends on my mood. Good luck with your new habit this week! I had to giggle at your Bible study experience, only because I understand all too well. I've been trying to think of a study that wouldn't have similar 'consequence' and am drawing a blank. I guess that's part of the iron sharpening iron and being refined in the fire.

Oh yes. I can see how it would be a mistake to pray for patience!
